Listening comes first
Advice is cheap; understanding is rare. Every engagement begins with deep listening, because the right question beats the clever answer.
My story
I spent the first decade of my career leading teams through fast growth, messy reorganisations and the occasional genuine crisis. I learned that the leaders people remember aren't the ones with every answer — they're the ones who can think clearly when it matters and bring others with them.
That belief became my work. Today I coach leaders one-to-one, speak on stages large and small, advise founders through pivotal decisions, and run workshops where teams do their most honest thinking in years.
My approach is simple: listen first, reframe second, move third. No jargon, no ten-step formulas — just thoughtful conversation, practical strategy and the belief that meaningful progress is always within reach.
When I'm not working, I'm writing the next book, walking long trails with a notebook, or hosting small salons where interesting people argue kindly about big ideas.
Marlow
Advice is cheap; understanding is rare. Every engagement begins with deep listening, because the right question beats the clever answer.
Complicated ideas should feel simple — never simplistic. If an insight can't survive contact with a busy Tuesday, it isn't finished yet.
A conversation that changes nothing is entertainment. My work always ends with a step worth taking — decided, scheduled and owned.
Early years — Team leadership
A decade leading product and operations teams through growth, change and the occasional fire — and discovering that clarity is a team sport.
The turn — Coaching & writing
Trained as a coach, started writing publicly, and found that one honest conversation could do what months of process could not.
The stage — Keynotes & books
First keynote, first book, first thousand readers — proof that practical wisdom travels well when it's told honestly.
Today — Marlow Presence Coaching
Coaching, keynotes, advisory and workshops — one practice, one standard: leave every person clearer than you found them.
Whether you're building, creating, or simply figuring out what comes next, let's talk.
